Snapshot the comp, keep working, then wipe between the two right inside the panel. No exports, no screenshots pasted into Slack, no "wait — which one was the good one?" Snap holds a stack of versions and compares any two of them at full resolution.
Should have shipped with After Effects. It didn't.
So I built it. Five professional-grade plugins for the parts of the job that should have been solved a decade ago — made by a motion designer who has been shipping broadcast graphics for twenty years, not by a committee that has never had a hard out.
The suite — five tools, and growing
Adobe shipped the basic version.
Nobody ever shipped the full version.
So here it is. Five tools, each solving exactly one problem completely — no suites of forty half-finished panels, no coming-soon placeholders. Every panel below is live, so hover it.
Type two letters, get the effect. Favourites, recents and your own presets in the same list. You will not open Effects & Presets again.
Sorts, folders and color-labels a 400-item project in about a second. Then does it again next Tuesday, when somebody else has been in there.
Solos what you're actually working on — and keeps its parents, mattes and precomps alive. Un-solo puts every switch back exactly where it was.
Restarts After Effects. That is the entire plugin. You will use it more often than you would like to admit.
Before
After Effects is three decades old.
Here's what that still costs you.
- Compare two versions of the same frame Export stillsSnap
- Isolate one layer in a stack of ninety Solo, then repairSmart Solo
- Find an effect you use every day Scroll the panelApply
- Organize a project someone else built An afternoonTidyUp
- Recover from a crash Twice, usuallyRestart

The guy
Twenty years of broadcast.
One very specific set of grudges.
None of this is hard to solve. It's just nobody's job. I'm not a software company — I'm a motion designer who got tired of waiting for somebody else to fix it.
Twenty years in live sports and network broadcast — where the show goes to air whether or not your render finished — teaches you exactly which parts of After Effects hurt, and precisely how much. Clutch is those parts, fixed.
Every tool ships only after surviving game day. If it can't hold up against a hard out, it doesn't go in the box.
How this works
Free is free. Pro is once.
Actually free
Every tool has a free version. Not a trial, not a watermark, not fourteen days and a nag screen. Use it forever and never pay me anything.
Paid once
Pro adds the parts you'll want by the third project. One payment. No subscription, no seat count, no phoning home to a licence server at 2am.
Built the boring way
Signed installers. Windows and Mac. Updates when they're ready rather than when a launch calendar says they should be.
The point
Stop doing that one thing by hand.
Five tools, all shipping now, and growing. Free versions of every one of them. Install takes about a minute — roughly what Restart saves you the first time you use it.
