Replace

FreePro

Swap any number of objects for a single source in one click, positions kept. One undo, no manual cloning.

Plugin · Cinema 4D 2025–2026 · Windows & macOS

01Why it exists

Swapping a placeholder for the finished model sounds like a one-step job. In practice it is cloning the new object, matching the position, re-parenting the children, copying the tags, renaming it, and deleting the old one. Now do that fifty times.

Replace does the whole swap in a single pass. Pick a source, pick the targets, choose what to keep, and every target becomes the source in place.

02How it works
  1. Set your source

Drag any object into the New Object field. This is what your targets become.

  2. Pick your targets

Drag objects into the list, or select them in the Object Manager and hit Add Selection. No limit on how many.

  3. Choose what to keep

Toggle positions, children, tags and names. The plugin preserves exactly what you check.

  4. Replace

One click. One undo. Every target swapped in place.
